Economic Stimulus

Put the money where it will do the most good.

Well, our pols are at it again. Under the guise of an "economic stimulus plan" that as of January 31 is estimated at 1 Trillion Dollars, the pols are hard at work, racking their "brains" to determine who (meaning what companies) are going to receive how much. According to all the combined brilliance of the economic advisors, the way the plan works is this: give billions to the companies that are floundering, so that they in turn will make things easier for the little guy on the street. If the companies aren't hurting financially, they will be more willing to work with the individual (or small company) that is in a financial strait, thus making it easier for the people to pay their bills, which in turn helps the big companies stay afloat, which in turn means they hire more, make more, and so on ad nauseum.

All of this wisdom depends on one thing; that the big companies, having been "bailed out" of their self-dug hole, will in turn truly "make things easier," and "work with" the little guy. Unfortunately, we have already seen some of the results of that "wisdom" and reliance on the Big Boys moral and ethical vacuum. I suppose the prime example of this "dedication to working with the little guy" is to be found in AIG. After receiving billions of dollars, they held a "seminar" at an exclusive resort, spending almost a half-million dollars to "relax and stimulate" their brains on how to "make things work out for the best" (read soak the suckers some more).

Frankly, the Big Boys have no intention of making things easier, or working with anyone (unless it lines their pockets). It is exactly that attitude (greed) that has caused the problem to begin with.

The current administration claims to be for "equality", and the "little guy", and making things easier for "Joe the Plumber."

PROVE IT!

And here's how...here's the economic stimulus plan that is guaranteed to work. Follow the numbers, folks, and then tell me I'm wrong. And this plan will actually save the government (that means you, the taxpayer) some money.

Let's go back to last weeks estimate of economic stimulus plan in terms of cost....only a piddlin' $800 Billion, and use that.

There are, in this country, an estimated 300 million people, give or take a few mil.

If the government would hand 2 Million dollars to every man, woman and child (citizens) in this country, it would only cost the government (taxpayer) an estimated $600 Billion.

That, simply, would mean that the little guy...Joe the Plumber, Mr. or Mrs. Small Business Owner, would no longer be on the brink of financial destruction and loss of everything. They would be able to pay their bills, which in turn helps the Big Boy, instead of leaving their investments in a state of disrepair.

The little guy would, in all probability, do things like pay off their car note...many would even trade them in and buy a new one (thus saving Detroit). Detroit would then be able to keep their assembly lines, and pay the $75/hr wage that most of us would die to earn.

The little guy would, at the very least, bring their mortgage up to date, thus saving the mortgage companies with their overloaded shaky loan portfolios. Many who couldn't previously afford to buy a house would buy one, thus stimulating the overall real estate market.

Old folks and retirees who have been eating dog food because they can't afford real food would go to the grocery store and shell out the bucks for decent food, thus stimulating the entire food market, from the grower all the way to the outlet. And most especially, by being able to pay their outrageous utility bills, old men (and women) wouldn't freeze to death because the electricity got cut off. The utility companies in turn could plow their new-found cash flow back into infrastructure and production modernization.

In other words, the money would be going where it NEEDS to go to effectively counter the effects of the Big Boys immoral and unethical business dealings that put us in a hurt to begin with. WHY should we give them more money to continue doing what caused the problem to begin with? WHY should we allow our pols to play footsie with the Big Boys to see who helps who the most? WHY should we allow the government to "solve the problem with more oversight" of the industries that are morally bankrupt. Isn't that a prime example of letting the fox into the henhouse?

PUT THE MONEY WHERE IT WILL DO THE MOST GOOD! IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE WHO PAY THE BILL TO BEGIN WITH!!

And in the process, save the government (people) $400 Billion Dollars!!

The current administration has said in many ways that they are all for "wealth redistribution", although they call it "equality." Well, what better way to redistribute that wealth? What better way to make everyone reasonably equal?

From the average joe family (2.3 members), to the homeless person on the street, to the Wall Street Banker, hand 'em ALL the same amount...only a piddling $2 MILLION Dollars...and watch REAL stimulus work. And BTW, that $2 mil should be TAX FREE. Call it a rebate for all the money already paid in, for all the pain and suffering we've already endured at the hands of inept politicians and greedy corporations. Besides, the guv won't flounder...look at all the money they'll be bringing in from the suddenly healthy corporate books, sales taxes and increased employment and capital expenditures.

If you agree that this is a stimulus plan that would work...put the bug in the ear of your congressman and senator...write the prez himself. Send emails, faxes, letters, petitions...whatever will get their attention in a BIG way. But don't delay, 'cause the pols, the lobbyists, the greedy ones are just itching to spend your money by redistributing it to the ones who CAUSED the problem...and that includes themselves.

If you don't agree, and really think that what the guv is doing is the best way, then sit back and hold on, 'cause you're going to be among the first to get nailed!

Government. OF the people....BY the people...and FOR the people. True or false?

It is FAR beyond time for the politicians to start paying attention to Joe Little and Janie Middle, and quit playing their stupid little games with OUR future.
