ATHEISM, THE FAITH OF A FOOL!

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA USA (ANS) -- The old story goes like this: A local priest recently befriended a pastor and a rabbi. They all wanted to make a difference in their community, so they thoughtfully painted signs saying, "The End is Near! Turn yourself around now, before it's too late!" Then they stood by the road, showing it to each passing car.
One driver didn't appreciate the signs and rudely shouted at them, "Leave us alone, you religious nuts!"
Soon thereafter, they heard desperately screeching brakes and a big splash ... the priest then turned to his new clerical friends and said, "Maybe we should have just said 'Bridge Out' instead?"
Chuckles aside, proper religion provides both direction and cultural warning signs for we mere mortals.
The Minnesota Atheists association recently hosted the antithetical extreme in Bloomington, Minnesota, better known as home to the Mall of America. What in the 'World' (as they donıt believe in Heaven or Hell) could this convention's message have been? We believe in nothing! Join us and contemplate ... nothingness?
For people that do not believe in the existence of God, I find it curious that they spend so much time talking and thinking about Him. It's a safe presumption that these non-believers did not open their conference in prayer to Him, did not say the Pledge of Allegiance, and did not offer Godspeed to old friends or new foes.
They must not have discussed our founding fatherıs deep religious roots either. If the era was discussed, they certainly must have followed the lead of our government institutions of higher learning (oxymoron?) and engaged in revisionist re-telling of historical events, thereby neutering our great spiritual heritage.
In their zealous refutation of religious and moral instruction, did they make their congregates aware that religion is at the root of the western world's great institutions of learning? Yep ... Harvard, Yale, Princeton, you name it, all sported religious beginnings.
In their misplaced praise and worship of man as demigod and master, did they ever consider that our legal system and moral code comes from Judaismıs four millennia old Mosaic law? Mosaic law begins with the Ten Commandments, whose display is now illegal in our public square. Ironically, this is primarily due to atheistic influences in the BAR and the judiciary, all trumpeted by the ACLU.
Presume too, that their huddled masses aren't aware of the many biblical inscriptions that are set in stone on virtually every one of Washington DCıs great monuments. I've been there, the founders and their progeny must have done this for posterityıs sake, lest we forget ... or did we already?
The smart money says these anti-theist spiritual geniuses primarily attacked Christianity and Judaism, versus the rest of the worldıs religions. This subtly supports pagan beliefs, some asking adherents to walk on hot coals, cast spells, summon demons, fly airliners into tall buildings, blow up children in day care centers, and murder elderly bus riders headed for afternoon bingo at the Jewish Community Center.
How can anyone silently stand by and watch, much less participate in the murder of children and the elderly? Ask an atheist. They're often in ideological league with folks who have no problem with sacrificing children, whether on the streets of Jerusalem, or in Roe-V-Wade abortion mills.
Though these anti-religionists claim absolute 'non-belief,' they just happen to 'believe' very strongly in the essential goodness of man, a humanist value. I guess they must have slept through the whole Hitler thing in Mrs. Johnsonıs history class. Their eyes apparently remained closed through Mao Tse Tung, Idi Amin, Pol Pot, Stalin, and even the most recent batch of mass murderers, as in Arafat, Saddam, and Osama. Fools educated to the point of ignorance, plain and simple.
If they believe anything, it is that God did not create man, rather man created God, fulfilling a deeper need in humanity to feel meaningful, or significant.
Have they considered the enormity of creation, and the very real limitations of man's knowledge? We all believe modern medicine can be phenomenal, but it never fixes the patient perfectly or permanently, as the Grim Reaper eventually always calls. Likewise, does the mechanic make the car new? Or does it run for a time, and eventually wear out anyway? All of man's best works perish in flame, are washed away by floods, or blown away by the wind.
Atheists in the American Civil Liberties Union (forgive the redundancy) have basically succeeded in outlawing displays of the Ten Commandments in the public square. This reduces religionıs posture in our civilization, and elevates Manı to super-entity by default. This is a further irony as it violates the earliest of those commandments; "Thou shall have no other God before me." I am disgusted and properly frightened by the potential implications embodied in this affront to God.
Regarding Atheism,ı I quote King David the Psalmist, said to be one of the wisest men who ever walked the Earth: "The fool says in his heart; There is no God!ı"
Now to quote me, king only of my own castle and far less wise, "Atheists are people of great faith ... the faith of a fool."
