A Cree Leaders' Message to the Nations
The following is a message delivered by Kenny Blacksmith to the assembled First Nations gathered in Canada in June, 2003.
Special to the Master's Table by Kenny Blacksmith
We live in a time where our leaders of the land don't know what to do. One thing for sure is that they have forgotten the laws of God. They are out to please everyone instead of pleasing the one God. They have each gone their own way, and it's a shame that our own government will not stand up for the truth and righteousness of God. But even though they will not, we will.
We will stand up for God. We will not be ashamed. We will lift the name of the Lord high in this place, and we will not be ashamed. We will stand up and be the people who are summoned by name to stand for God; to be His army and be His people that will run with His word to the north, to the south, to the west, and to the east. We will not stop until we see God's Presence and His Glory in Canada, in the US, and in all the parts of the world. The earth is the Lord's. It is His footstool, and we need to honor Him for such a time as this.
Some of you were not here yesterday (at the Concert of Prayer on Saturday June 21st), but I want to tell you what we did. We understood the past and how each nation, even the host nation, has failed to keep the laws and the righteousness of God. We came before Him and humbled ourselves before Him. We cried out to Him and we asked Him to forgive us. We asked Him to hear us; we came before Him, and I believe the Lord heard your cries and the Lord began to do a great and mighty work.
It is a new page, a new chapter. God is doing something new. He honored us when we decreed His laws, His Ten Commandments; which are not a thing of the past, but for such a time as this. They need to be declared over our land. We have done that, and we have honored His Word. We have honored Him. We have asked Him to hear us, to see us as we took His Word and we decreed it.
We made a declaration that we will keep His laws even when our Parliament cannot, even when the Supreme Court of Canada will not. When even throughout all the provinces of our country they will not stand up for God and keep His word, we decreed it anyway, and that decree of God's laws and His righteousness went out from this place. It went out from you the host peoples, the Algonquins, the Mohawks, the Cree, all the different tribes, the English, the French, the Jewish people. We came as one with a hunger and a desire to lift the name of the Lord in this place.
Let me say this: when the Lord began to speak to His disciples in Matthew 25, He began to tell them what was going to happen. He said there were going to be ten virgins waiting for the groom and he began to unravel this story because those ten virgins were like the people that are summoned and called by His name. They are the people that hear His voice. They are the people that read His word. They are the people that want to do what God wants them to do. They are the people who have His heart.
This will be a time of preparation. It will be a time when we will need to wait for Yeshua, Jesus our Lord to come back for His church. He said in that time, there will be some who will persevere. They will wait. They will wait. And they will wait. They will not tire. But they will be prepared. They will trim their lights. They will have oil for their lamps. They will look. They will expect at any moment, the groom Jesus our Lord to come at any moment. But there will be some He said that will tire during this time of preparation. Then suddenly the groom will come. The Lord will come. And they will be found asleep. They will miss it. They will miss it. Half, fifty percent of the believers will miss it because they will have tired. They will have fallen asleep.
Jesus spoke of that time. We are living in that time. This is the time, a time of preparation. God is looking for those who will not tire. When He comes, we will be ready and we will enter the gate that will be open. We will enter into His presence. For those who have fallen asleep, have tired, have compromised, have looked at the things around them, have forgotten about the Lord, the Messiah that's coming; that gate will close. They will not enter.
Yet Jesus spoke again. He said there would be a master. It will be like a time when the master is leaving for a season, and He will give talents to His servants, each according to their ability. In the King James Version, it says 'several' abilities. Once again the Lord spoke about His love and the gifts He has given you and I.
Some of us have many gifts; many talents that the Lord has given us. And the Lord said that as He gives, He expects.
Some of you have been like that servant. God has given to you. You've recognized what He has given you, and you have run with the spirit of boldness in you. You've taken what God has given you and you've multiplied it.
But there are some you who have taken what the Lord has given you and you have been afraid to make a mistake. You have watched all that is happening around you at a time when the morals of this land are going down, and there is compromise all around you. There is an onslaught of attacks on your life. Your principles are being tried and tested. You know He's coming back. He's going to come back and check up on you. And some of us are afraid of making a mistake; so taking that gift, we buried it.
The Lord spoke. He said when the master comes He will ask a return of what he has given; the investment that He's had in you. He will ask you, what did you do? And some of you, you will say to the Lord, you have given me much. I have gone out and doubled it. I have stood up for you. I have not been ashamed. I have taken the risk. And I've gone out for you. I've done what you've told me. I've taken my songs. I've taken my identity. I've taken my dignity as a restored person. I've gone out and done what you've told me to do because I love you and I want to please you.
Some of you, the Lord will find wanting because you have been afraid. You buried what God has given you. When the Lord comes, it will be like that gate closing and you will not be able to enter in. See that is what the Lord is looking for. He's looking for a people who are not going to compromise; who will not waver, who will run when they hear Him call they will run to Him. When they hear Him say something, my servant do this, they will do it. God is looking for you. Which of these servants are you?
And there will be a time again like that picture of the disciples in the boat doing what the Lord has called them to do; going to the other side. The wind came, and the waves came, and they were caught in a storm, and they became afraid. And then they saw the Lord coming in the midst of the storm walking on water. And they cried out to Him, "is that you Lord?" And the Lord said, "Yes it is I". And Peter said, "Lord if it's you, tell me to come". And the Lord said, "come".
So Peter stepped out of the boat. Stepped into the water and he began to walk to the Lord. There are some of you who are asked to step out of the boat and into the water. At the time when there's a flood and the storms of unrighteousness, lawlessness, idolatry, immorality, broken covenants, when there is so much death, suicide, murder, abortion. When all those things are coming, some of you are seeing the Lord come to you and He's asking you to step out. Are you going to take that risk and step out?
Will you begin to walk on the water?
That is what is being asked of us today at a time when there is such a need for the church, the people of God to arise. Will you arise? Will you take the risk? Will you take your talents and risk it for the Lord? Will you go and multiply what God has given you? God is looking for you.
And yet a time is coming the Lord said, even as He was speaking to His disciples then, even as He is speaking to us now, He said there is coming a time when the son of man will come in His glory and all the angels with Him. He will sit on His throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and he will separate the people from one another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. Then the king will say to those on His right, "come you who are blessed by my Father. Take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me. I was in prison, and you came to visit me."
Then the righteous will answer Him. "Lord when did we see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and gave you something to drink? When did we see you as a stranger and and invite you in? Or needing clothes and clothed you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?" The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine you did for me."
Then He will say to those on His left, "depart from me. You who are cursed into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and His angels, for I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink. I was a stranger and you did not invite me in. I needed clothes and you did not clothe me. I was sick and you did not look after me."
They will also answer, "Lord when did we see you hungry or thirsty, or a stranger needing clothes or sick in prison and did not help you?"He will reply, "I tell you the truth. Whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me." Then they will go away to eternal punishment and the righteous to eternal life.
We are living in those times. We live in a time, when God is looking for you. What will you do with the talents that God has given you? Will you risk it for God? Do you hear Him calling you? Will you stand up for Him? What will you do?
I believe when we declared His laws and His Ten Commandments over this land, we sent a wave into the heavens and the enemy's gates have been shaken. God's going to honor the declarations that we made. Whatever the enemy has tried to do, I declare it null and void. This great train that is coming to our land with unrighteousness is being derailed. God will not allow that because of you, because you were willing to take the risk for Him. And you became that army of God.
You are the ones who will make a change; not only in the heavens but in the natural. God will begin to work through you, and you will begin to see a multiplication of your faith and your love and the hope that you have in God. God is going to honor that and God is going to make a change. Thatıs what I wanted to share with you. This is the time. This is your time. And I'm so blessed.
It's not the quantity in people. It's the quality of the few. It's the quality of the few. Let me say that again. It's the quality of the few. And you have been that. And I just declare God's blessings upon you. God is about to do a great and mighty and awesome work through you, in your homes, in your communities, in your churches. God is about to extend your territory because He's been looking for the people with dignity. He's been looking for you. You are those people. You have not lost your time. You have waited and persevered; in the midst of the storm you saw the Lord. And He said to you, come, and you came. And the Lord Bless you for that.
Stand up for a moment. Let's thank God for what He has done. Let's give Him the glory. He is doing a great and mighty thing in this place. This is His church in the open skies. And even as you offer your praise, your worship through your voice, your dance, through your hands, I tell you this, the angels are rejoicing. They are in multiplication all around us. And they're worshipping with us. Even these trees, they're clapping their hands. Every blade of the grass that you've stood upon, that you've laid upon, they're crying out in worship. They're lifting the name of the Lord. The rocks that you see around you, they are crying out to God. They're worshipping God in a time when the groans and the pains of the earth around you, a time when they were waiting for you.
They've been saying, when will the people come? When will the righteous come? When will the people of God come and release us from our bondage? You came. And the earth has been released. The earth has been cleansed. The rivers have been cleansed. They are free from the sins and the bondage of the past. The heavens have been opened over you, and God is looking down upon His people. So raise your voices, shout to the Lord. Shout to Him, shout to Him.
Father we bless you. We love you. We give you the glory. We lift your name up in this place. We are not ashamed Lord. Let your law and your righteousness rule supreme. For you are Lord of Lords and King of Kings, the King of Glory, the King of Glory, the King of Glory. Reign in this place! Father, listen to your people. They are crying out to you, worshipping you. Loving you. They are not ashamed of you, but they are crying.
So Father let your presence come. Live with us. Dwell in this place. Let the walls of the Parliament resound with the prayers of your people. Let them resound with the cries of your people. Let them resound with the praise and worship of your people. The great halls of our Parliament will never be the same. God will turn the hearts of your servants.
God's rule will reign in this place, in this Parliament and throughout this land. And the great river that flows from His righteousness, from His very throne, that river of life will wash this land and cleanse it and release it. Release the land, and release the people.
And your army will come up from the dust. And we speak to them. Rise up! You people of God, the church of God, rise up in this hour. Rise up! And be the army that the Lord has called you to be. Begin to march to the beat of the Father. The Lord is the head of His army, and He is going forth. And there is a great sound of the army marching. There is a marching; there is a marching. There is a clanging. The plows are turning into swords.
The people are rising, and they will run where the Lord tells them to run. They will stand up in the stronghold of God and this stronghold of God will be over them, will be in them. And they donıt have to worry about the strongholds of the enemy, for the stronghold of God is with us.
The presence of the Lord is here. And it will not be suppressed. It will not be overcome. God's righteousness, His law will rule against whatever the enemy has tried to do. We declare it null and void in the name of Jesus. And we declare victory. We declare victory in Parliament, in the Supreme Court of Canada, in the Parliaments across the provinces. We declare victory in the name of the Lord.
Let His church arise and let them march in unison, shoulder to shoulder. Not jostling one another, but looking straight to the Lord who is head of the army. And we declare His righteousness, His glory be radiant across this land in the name of Jesus.
So Father Bless your people. Receive this worship as sweet incense rising up to your throne. Father rise from your throne and come down in this place. Lord, show your glory to your people in Jesus' name. Thank you Father, thank you Father. Thank you Lord, we give you the praise. We give you the praise.
Thank you Jesus.
