What's wrong with this picture

This past week, Manishkumar M. Patel of Appleton, Wis. was arrested and charged with 'attempted first-degree intentional homicide of an unborn child' for slipping the abortion drug RU-486 to his pregnant girlfriend, who later miscarried.

There seems to be something big time wrong with this picture. Patel is charged with causing the death of an unborn child. That's fine...he apparently did it. But the real problem with this picture is that if the mother-to-be had gone to the local abortion mill and had someone else suck the brains out of this unborn child, then it would have been perfectly legal...even though the unborn child was still just as dead.

Don't misunderstand me here...Patel DESERVES to be charged, strung up, dried and quartered. What he did is absolutely unconscionable and morally reprehensible. But so do all of the idiots that demand the "right" to kill their own unborn child.

Cheers

to the smart (and finally disgusted) folks in California who have had enough of; (1) the homosexual agenda; (2) idiotic legislators; (3) educators that can't educate, but can indoctrinate; and (4) being ignored by the politicians they put in office.

According to news reports, parents are pulling their kids out of school by the droves (a drove being more than a few and less than everyone) in protest over the passage and pending implementation of SB 777. (see the original rant on this subject under the Dec. 1 posting)

One forum called for a boycott of the schools, and another wants to make it longer lasting....even permanent!

What kind of effect is it having? Apparently quite a bit, since the state Superintendent of Public Education has sent memos to all school districts warning of the consequences of lost funding if the exodus either continues or increases. In addition to that, several home-schooling organizations have seen a sudden increase in requests for information.

KEEP ROLLIN' ON FOLKS! LET YOUR VOICES BE HEARD!!

And Jeers

Unfortunately though, the idiocy rampant in California institutions isn't confined only to California. In Maryland, a school board recently decided to open the school bathrooms up to anyone, and has consistently refused calls from angry parents to reconsider and rescind their action. Maybe the fine folks that cherish God, family and solid moral values should do the same as their California brethren. SOCK IT TO 'EM IN THE POCKET BOOK, THEN VOTE 'EM OUT!!!

And, this last week, a Jewish professor at Missouri State University complained about having to pass a Christmas tree on the grounds, stating that it bothered him, and didn't show any "respect" for other religions. DUH!! Last time I looked, we're coming up on CHRISTMAS. And CHRISTmas is named for, and celebrated about, the birth of JESUS CHRIST. I don't think we have a season or holiday called Mosesmas, or Mohammedmas, or Buddhamas. Apparently this "professor" is trying to institute a new holiday...maybe one called "dum-mas?" I guess that would fit him well.

If that's not enough to get your kettle boilin', then try this one on for size. Some of the our fine elected officials in the House of Representatives voted for a resolution to recognize Islam and their "holy" month of Ramadan....then turned right around and refused to support a resolution recognizing Christmas. Voting AGAINST Christmas were Reps. Jim McDermott of Washington; Gary Ackerman and Yvette Clarke of New York; Barbara Lee, Pete Stark and Lynn Woolsey of California; Diana DeGette of Colorado; Alcee Hastings of Florida; and Bobby Scott of Virginia. To top if off, there were 40 other reps who simply voted "present"....talk about wishy-washy wimps!!

WHOSE BIRTHDAY IS IT, ANYWAY?

As for me and my house, we're not going anywhere that celebrates the "holiday" season, and we're not buying anything from any retailer that has a "holiday" sale, or pointedly ignores the REASON, AND NAME for this season.

CHRISTMAS is a season of joy, for He is the JOY of this world...without Him there is nothing to be joyful about. CHRISTMAS is a season of hope, for He is the only hope in a lost and dying world. CHRISTMAS is a season to rejoice, for in Him, and ONLY in Him can we rejoice about our future.

THIS IS CHRISTMAS, FOLKS...GET USED TO IT!

Nero fiddled...

while Rome burned. That was 2000 years ago, and the landscape doesn't look too different now! Except that the players have changed, as well as the locale. Today, it's the USA burning....and the church is playing the fiddle!

About 30 years ago, there were a number (albeit small) of church people who began noticing a trend in the morals and mores of our society, and began pointing out to anyone who would listen that we, as a society, were on a downhill slide. Of course, there were also plenty who poo-poohed them, called them "Chicken Littles" and alarmists. And even more who were quick to point out that in every generation since the beginning, there have been those who claimed their world was goint to pot in a handbasket.

Unfortunately, each group was right...to a certain extent. Some more right than the others, but they all had some salient points to make. Also unfortunately, the poo-poohers were more numerous, made more noise, and carried the day (and minds of the undecided, aka the mindless).

What did it get us? It got us more professional politicians who thought the squeakiest wheel was the one that really needed the oil...and sold their souls to the devil to stay in office. It got us a complete redefinition of truth, so that truth was no longer truth, but was truth only as long as it was convenient, or filled a current need, or.... In other words, truth became arbitrary, capricious, and relative.

What else has it gotten us? Well, it's gotten us schools full of kids who can't read, write, or add...much less divide, multiply, or calculate. But boy, do they sure know how to get condoms, birth control pills, abortions and dope! or guns!! And they're really hip to being confused as to who they are...many of them can't decide in the morning whether they're a boy or a girl...or maybe both at once! Oh well, just pop on some sneakers, baggy pants, a tank top, throw their hair in a pony tail, a little lipstick maybe, and when in doubt....go to the other bathroom (that is if the mood doesn't change on the way) Confused? What an understatement!

Think I'm joking? In just the past two months, that great bastion of morality, the state of California, has passed a law (SB 777) that mandates that "No teacher shall give instruction nor shall any school district sponsor any activity that promotes a discriminatory bias because of a characteristic [including perceived gender.]" In other words, if a student (or teacher for that matter) thinks (perceives) that they may be the opposite sex, or has a preference for the same sex they think they are, then NO INSTRUCTION (read text books, lectures, videos, notes, speeches, sports, music, choir, etc.) can be given that MIGHT promote any discriminatory bias. So....if a student happens to be confused as to their identity, then references to male or female are taboo. Boys and girls no longer exist. And if a student happens to have a single parent family, then mention of the missing parent (whether Mom or Dad) is a no-no...it might make the kid feel discriminated against. And if they do have two parents, and both of them are the same sex, then what do you say? Who is Mom? and which one is Dad? Why, neither!!! They have to be parent one, and parent two....or Adam and Steve...or Eve and Eva....but definitely NOT Mom or Dad.

What else? Well, SB 777 also requires that all textbooks, instructional materials and school-sponsored activities "positively portray cross-dressing, sex-change operations, homosexual 'marriages', and all aspects of homosexuality and bi-sexuality, including 'gay history'.

Net result? Terms such as Mom and Dad or husband and wife must be deleted from texts. Sports teams have to be gender-neutral. Prom kings and queens are no more...or if they are the king can really be a queen, and vice-versa. Gender-neutral bathrooms must be provided for those who might be confused about their plumbing. And if someone happens to be a little confused today, then they have the right to use someone else's plumbing facilities.

I just heard someone say "well, that don't bother me...that's California, and I'm in Texas (pick your own state). Guess again, bubba! California happens to be the largest user of textbooks in the nation...and that means that the textbook companies will set their type to satisfy California's requirements...and they WON'T make another version for the other 49! Coming soon to the school nearest YOU will be these modern, up-to-date and totally PC textbooks, to be read and taught from by YOUR children and grand-children.

And don't make the mistake of thinking such idiocy is confined to California. In Des Moines, Iowa (the heartland of America), the East High School just had, as part of their "spirit week" celebration, a highly-publicized "Gender-Bender Day." Students were encouraged to "dress as the opposite sex" for the day, and act as best they could like the other sex. Why? So as to "foster understanding of those who are "gender-confused."

Something is big-time wrong somewhere, folks! It definitely appears that the tail is now wagging the dog. Or is it? Can it be that the MAJORITY of Americans DON'T like marriage between a man and a woman? Can it be that the MAJORITY of Americans are really confused as to whether they are male or female? Can it be that the MAJORITY of Americans are really queer, lesbian, bi-sexual, or transvestite he-she's that don't know right from wrong, up from down, and don't care?

I don't think so. In California, the voters passed a referendum, just as they did in Oregon, Iowa, Nebraska, Texas and several dozen other states, declaring that marriage is the union of ONE MAN and ONE WOMAN, an effective and effectual way of stating that this gender confusion, gender-bending and gender non-mixing stuff is exactly that....stuff (and that's putting it mildly). But guess what? The professional politicians ignored the voters, ignored the majority, and did what they wanted to do...get elected again, and they figured they could best do that by letting the tail wag them!

What does that have to do with the church, the Body of Christ on this earth? Everything, my friends...it means that the church has NOT been the salt of the earth (salt is a preservative, you know). It means that the church has NOT been the light of the world (it has been a dim bulb, though). It has NOT preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it has NOT been a good example of Godly living, it has NOT called sin sin, right right, and wrong wrong. Instead it has busied itself about the business of being busy with fol-de-rol, social gospel, patting each other on the back, seeing who can grow the biggest church, satisfy the most seekers, build the biggest TV network, and publishing books about how to really, really ( be successful, happy, rich, purposeful, empowering or empowered, lose weight, beat the odds, etc. etc. ad infinitum ad nauseum).

WAKE UP, AMERICA!

Time is running out!

Thoughts To Ponder

Jesus said He would be returning for a Church that is "without spot or WRINKLE". I think maybe the Church needs a good shot of botox.
